Vento Aviation LLC (“Vento Aviation,” “we,” “us”) is a stocking distributor of helicopter and business jet parts based in Brooklyn, New York. This policy explains what personal information we collect through ventoaviation.com and in the course of doing business, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, company, job title, email, phone, and billing and shipping addresses. We collect these when you send an RFQ, use the RFQ cart, fill in a form, email or call us, or work with us as a customer, seller or supplier.
- Order details: part numbers, quantities, quotes, purchase orders, invoices, shipping records, and the traceability and export documents that go with an order.
- Inventory you offer us: parts lists and related information you send when you want us to buy or consign surplus.
- Payment details: our payment processor handles card payments, and we do not store full card numbers. We use bank details you give us only for the payment they were given for.
- Communications: the content of your emails, calls and messages, and when and how you sent them.
Information we collect automatically
IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (country or city), pages viewed and referring website. We collect these through cookies and analytics tools (see section 3).
Information from other sources
We collect business contact details from public sources, business data providers, industry marketplaces, trade shows and professional networks such as LinkedIn. We use them to contact operators, MROs and other aviation businesses that may want to buy from us or sell to us.
3. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies the site needs to work. For example, they keep parts in your RFQ cart and help block spam on our forms. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google explains how it uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site will still work, but the RFQ cart may not remember your parts.
4. How we use information
- To answer RFQs, send quotes, process and ship orders, and support you after the sale.
- To evaluate and buy surplus inventory you offer us.
- To invoice, take and make payments, and prevent fraud.
- To meet legal obligations, including export control and sanctions screening, tax, and aviation traceability recordkeeping.
- To send business updates, such as stock news, recent acquisitions and offers. You can opt out anytime with the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- To improve and secure the website.
- To enforce our terms and protect our rights.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies’ advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers working for us, such as website hosting, email, analytics, CRM, payment processing, freight carriers and forwarders. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Government authorities, for export filings and customs, or when the law requires it.
- Our lawyers, accountants and auditors.
- A buyer or successor if our business or its assets are sold or merged.
We treat parts lists sellers send us as confidential. We do not publish a seller’s name with a lot unless the seller agrees.
6. Where your information is handled
Vento Aviation is based in the United States. Our team works from New York, New Jersey and Texas, and from Mexico, Argentina, India and the Philippines, so your information may be accessed from those countries. Where the law requires safeguards for transfers between countries, we use them.
7. How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep information as long as we need it for the purposes above. Some records, such as orders and part traceability, we keep for longer because the law or aviation recordkeeping requires it. We protect information with reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no system is completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. Depending on where you live, local law may give you more rights, such as getting your data in a portable format or complaining to a data protection authority. 9. Children
Our website and services are for businesses. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. For significant changes, we will post a notice on the website.
